1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing or accessing the ExAC Study Guide ("the Product"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Product. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Issued for Interns ("we," "us," "our").

2. Product Description

The ExAC Study Guide is a digital study resource for Canadian intern architects preparing for the Examination for Architects in Canada (ExAC). The Product is provided as a password-protected online resource. Access is granted to the individual purchaser only and is non-transferable.

3. Licence & Permitted Use

Upon purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Product for your own private study purposes. You may not:

Breach of this licence will result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

4. Payment, Access and Refunds

By purchasing access to the ExAC Study Guide, you agree to the pricing and billing terms shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Access is granted upon successful payment confirmation. We reserve the right to revoke access in cases of suspected misuse or licence violation. Pricing is in Canadian dollars and is subject to change without notice for new purchases.

7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If you start studying and the textbook isn't what you expected, email us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund. To qualify, your account must show a minimum of 3 hours of logged study time, demonstrating that you genuinely engaged with the material before requesting a refund. Accounts with fewer than 3 hours of usage do not qualify, as this indicates the product was not sufficiently utilized to evaluate its value.

Pass-or-Refund Guarantee. If you study the full textbook and fail all 4 sections of the ExAC, send us your official ExAC transcript showing all four sections failed within 30 days of receiving your results and we will refund your purchase in full. To qualify, your account must show a minimum of 15 hours of logged study time, confirming meaningful engagement with the textbook content. Accounts with fewer than 15 hours of usage do not qualify for this guarantee.

Outside of the guarantees described above, all sales are final due to the nature of digital products. Refund requests must be submitted by email to info@issuedforinterns.ca. Refunds are processed to the original payment method via Stripe.

5. Intellectual Property

All content within the Product — including text, diagrams, practice questions, summaries, and structural organization — is the intellectual property of Issued for Interns and is protected by Canadian copyright law. Third-party references (NBC 2020, CCDC contracts, RAIC documents, CHOP) remain the property of their respective owners and are referenced here solely for educational purposes.

6. No Guarantee of Exam Results

The Product is a study aid only. We make no representation or warranty that use of this Product will result in a passing score on the ExAC or any component thereof. Exam content, structure, and passing standards are determined solely by the CACB/CCCA and are subject to change. You are solely responsible for verifying that the content of your study materials is current and appropriate for your exam session.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Product is provided "as is." While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that the content is free of errors, complete, or up to date with the latest code or regulatory changes. Nothing in this Product constitutes professional architectural, legal, or regulatory advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Issued for Interns shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the Product, including but not limited to loss of exam fees, employment income, or professional opportunity. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Product after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
